Nursing home
Hospice care can be provided in nursing homes (the resident's "home") if it is requested by the nursing home resident or the person responsible for making medical decisions on the resident's behalf. Generally, a medical doctor must certify that the resident has a terminal illness and that prognosis is six months or less.
